Blood vessels also affected by Alzheimer’s disease

New research demonstrates that mice suffering from this disease also have substantial malfunctions in small blood vessels, important in nourishing different organs and tissues and in regulating blood pressure, and which mainly affects females. The study also demonstrates a correlation between the state of peripheral blood vessels and different levels of anxious behavior, both in normal ageing and in those suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
