Agencies demand curbs on drugs for dementia

June 04, 2012 June 04--Many institutionalized dementia patients are known to lash out as part of their condition -- to strike the aides trying to feed or clean them, to yell at other patients, to aggressively resist intrusive but necessary medical care such as IVs and catheters.
